Welcome back to Instituto Health Sciences Career Academy! I'm Delta Cervantes, the interim Principal, and I'm thrilled to start this new chapter with you. Our team has been diligently engaged in ongoing discussions with the Teachers' Union since October 2022, with 30 sessions held to date, despite a brief pause in July. ¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a Instituto Health Sciences Career Academy! Soy Delta Cervantes, la directora interina, y estoy encantado de comenzar este nuevo capítulo con ustedes. Nuestro equipo ha participado diligentemente en conversaciones en curso con el Sindicato de Maestros desde octubre de 2022, y hasta la fecha se han celebrado 30 sesiones, a pesar de una breve pausa en julio. School will resume tomorrow with regular, in-person instruction. We have been closely monitoring the building’s temperature and it has remained at a comfortable level. Students are encouraged to bring a clear water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. We look forward to welcoming back our students.

With the utmost concern for the safety and well-being of our cherished students and dedicated staff, we have taken the decision to implement an early dismissal from school at 11:06am, at the end of 3rd period.

We kindly request families to make arrangements for the prompt pickup of their students at this scheduled time. In addition, we want to extend the option for students to visit the lunchroom before their departure, allowing them to enjoy a meal before they head home.

We trust everyone is managing to stay comfortable during the ongoing extreme heat. As we embark on the second day of remote learning, we kindly remind all students to promptly join their respective teachers' Google Classroom at the start of each class, adhering to the Thursday Bell Schedule.

Confiamos en que todos logren mantenerse cómodos durante el calor extremo actual. With the surge of extreme heat on Wednesday Aug 23 and Thursday Aug 24, we want to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families. In response to these weather conditions, we will be transitioning to ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING for these two days.
