Description:
In Cross Country, students will participate in a 3-mile competitive race against other Student-Athletes from schools all over Chicago and the Suburbs. This is a great sport for students that are good at running long distances and have good conditioning.
Cross Country is also a great sport to participate in for Student-Athletes that are waiting for their Winter or Sprint Sport to begin.
Students that participate can expect to:
- Develop better stamina and conditioning
- Strengthen your core
- Develop coordination
- Learn how to better pace yourself to run for longer distances
- Learn breathing techniques to help inflow of oxygen
- Develop an understanding on the importance of running and how it can greatly benefit you and prepare you for any sport
