A la luz de la situación actual de COVID, no solo en nuestra comunidad sino también aquí en IHSCA, hemos decidido pasar al aprendizaje remoto durante los próximos dos días. Esta es una mitigación para prevenir y mantener nuestro campus seguro. Los estudiantes deben iniciar sesión en sus aulas de Google para el aprendizaje sincrónico y deben seguir su horario regular en línea. Regresaremos al aprendizaje en persona el lunes 6 de junio.

Instituto Health Sciences Career Academy (IHSCA) High School is calling upon your support for our “Rides For Opportunities Drive”! For the month of May, IHSCA is running a campaign drive to raise the necessary funds needed to purchase an additional 1-2 shuttle vans. A todos nuestros estudiantes de último año que asistieron al prom se les pide que se hagan la prueba de COVID-19 antes de regresar a la escuela. Estamos tomando este paso como medida de precaución para la salud y la seguridad de todos. Hemos tenido algunos casos positivos de Covid-19 y estas personas estuvieron presentes durante nuestro prom.

Como recordatorio, si tiene un resultado positivo en la prueba, informe a la escuela y complete el formulario de autoinforme para CPS e IHSCA en linea.

All of our senior students that attended prom are asked to test for COVID-19 prior to returning to school. We are taking this step as a precaution for the health and safety of everyone. We have had some positive Covid-19 cases and these individuals were present during our prom.

As a reminder, if you have a positive test result please inform the school and do the self-report form for CPS and IHSCA.

Our National Honor Society held its Spring Induction Ceremony on May 3rd! IHSCA is proud of our 7 new students that have joined the NHS. We look forward to what our NHS students can accomplish and the impact they will make in our school and community. Continue reading to welcome our 7 new students!

Take a moment to check out a highlight video for Earth Night that was hosted on April 21st! It was a great evening filled with fun and activities for our families. Our participants had a chance to learn about conservation and the actions we can take to better preserve and take care of our environment. Student's art work was also put on display that was a part of the Canvas for Conservation for the Lincoln Park Zoo. A big thank you to our Zoology Club for leading Earth Night and all that joined us!

IHSCA will be hosting its last parent meeting of the school year on Wednesday May 18th. The meeting will begin promptly at 6:00pm. Coffee and sweetbread will be provided. This meeting is mandatory for all parents. We will provide school updates and information to prepare you for the next school year. Senior parents will also receive information regarding senior events and information for graduation day.

IHSCA organizará su última reunión de padres del año escolar el miércoles 18 de mayo. La reunión comenzará puntualmente a las 6:00 pm. Se proporcionará café y pan dulce. Esta reunión es obligatoria para todos los padres. Proporcionaremos actualizaciones y información sobre la escuela para prepararlo para el próximo año escolar.
