Black History Month Mural Presentation!

A beautiful mural was created in honor of Black History Month and was presented at the conclusion of our festivities. The mural is dedicated to our black community at IHSCA. It was funded by the Frida Khalo Community Organization EVOLVE Project, and facilitated by Ms. Arellano. This project was a collaboration between teachers, artists, and the organization. The thoughts and input of our students and teachers were at the forefront in coming up with a design. The mural is full of symbolism and representation of different eras in Black History. QR codes will be linked to certain components of the mural to learn about the different African symbols, people, and flags. We are excited for the mural to be permanently put on display in the community room.
