IHSCA Senior Prom: Lake Michigan Odyssey Cruise

General Information
All students must arrive by 5:30 PM to begin boarding the boat for the Lake Michigan Odyssey Cruise. The boat will depart at 7:30 PM promptly. Students will do a check-in prior to boarding the boat with IHSCA staff. Once a student enters, no students may leave until 11:00 PM, no one will be allowed to leave early. Students will be checked and assessed for safety. Backpacks are not allowed, only small handbags. All belongings will be searched, any students that are under the influence will not be allowed to enter and parents will be contacted. Students are expected to dress formally. The formal dressing should allow the students to dance comfortably. Casual clothes are not allowed, students must dress up nicely as we want our Seniors to look great for their prom pictures!
*STUDENTS AND GUESTS WILL BE TURNED AWAY IF YOU ARE SUSPECTED TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE. IF YOU SMELL OF MARIJUANA/ALCOHOL OR OTHER SUBSTANCES YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER.

Outside Guests
If you are bringing an outside guest you must turn in the guest permission slip. You are responsible for your guest's behavior. ALL OUTSIDE GUESTS MUST PRESENT THEIR SCHOOL ID OR A STATE ID UPON ARRIVAL TO PROM (NO ID NO ENTRY). NO GUESTS 21 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER. NO GUEST PERMISSION SLIP MEANS NO ENTRY FOR THE GUEST.
Parking and Transportation
All students and guests must find transportation on their own.
Drop off location: Please see the map below. The Turnaround 1 is the best drop off location as it takes you directly to the Odyssey.
Parking: Navy Pier West Garage (Closest to the boat) and East Garage - Rate is $36
SpotHero App: Shows parking that is available and close to the pier. Rates vary between $15 and $35. You will have a good distance to walk to get to the pier. You can begin reserving a parking space with time in advance for a cheaper rate.
BE PREPARED FOR TRAFFIC: Seniors should be very mindful of traffic and must plan accordingly to arrive to the boat on time. Traffic in downtown can be difficult to navigate and can cause heavy delays. Please give yourself plenty of time in advance so that you arrive to the boat no later than 5:30pm. The boat will not wait for you it will leave immediately at 7:30pm.
After Prom
Prom ends promptly at 11:00 PM. Please have your transportation ready to pick you up on time. I ask that all of our Seniors make good decisions and get home safe. Communicate with your families at all times. Don't risk everything you have worked hard for because of one wrong decision.
