Note: There will be NO SCHOOL FOR SENIORS on this day.
General Information
Arrival and Check-in: All students must arrive by 5:30 PM to begin the check-in process.
Safety Assessment: Students will undergo a safety assessment. Backpacks are not permitted; only small handbags are allowed.
Contraband Policy: All belongings will be searched. Students and guests found to be under the influence or in possession of contraband will not be permitted to enter, and their parents will be contacted. There will be no refunds.
Restrictions on Leaving: Once inside, students may not leave until the boat docks.
Dress Code: Formal attire is required. This should allow students to dance comfortably. Casual clothing is not allowed; students are encouraged to dress nicely to create memorable prom pictures for our seniors!
Outside Guests Policy
Guest Permission Slip: If you are bringing an outside guest, you must turn in the guest permission slip.
Responsibility: You are responsible for your guest's behavior.
Identification: All outside guests must present their school ID or a state ID upon arrival to prom (No ID, No Entry).
Age Restriction: No guests 21 years of age and older will be permitted.
Parking and Transportation Information
Transportation: All students and guests must find transportation on their own.
Drop-off Location: The Turnaround 1 is the best drop-off location as it takes you directly to the Odyssey. Please refer to the map below for details.
Parking:
- Navy Pier West Garage (Closest to the boat) and East Garage - Rate approximately $30+
- SpotHero App: Shows parking available and close to the pier. Rates vary between $15 and $35. You will have a good distance to walk to get to the pier. You can begin reserving a parking space in advance for a cheaper rate.
- Traffic Advisory: Seniors should be very mindful of traffic and must plan accordingly to arrive at the boat on time. Traffic in downtown can be difficult to navigate and can cause heavy delays. Please give yourself plenty of time in advance so that you arrive at the boat no later than 5:30 PM. The boat will not wait, it will leave immediately.
After Prom
Ending Time: Prom ends promptly at 10:30PM. Please ensure your transportation is ready to pick you up on time.
Safety Reminder: I ask that all seniors make good decisions and prioritize getting home safely. Always communicate with your families. Do not risk everything you have worked hard for because of one wrong decision.
